This bachelor's thesis focuses on managers' motivation for professional education. The aim is to find out what is their motivation to participate in educational activities in an organization. The thesis is structured into six chapters. The introductory three chapters deal with the theoretical background of management, manager and his/her competencies, the specifics of HR department, adult education, specifically corporate education, motivation and barriers in education in an organization, and the motivation of managers to learn an organization. The final three chapters are devoted to own research investigation, which aims to find out the motivation of HR managers in the Novartis organisation to learn.
